This non-toxic all-purpose cleaner helps you simplify ingredients in your home, reduce the clutter, and eliminate headaches while cleaning.
Funny story time! My kids were playing outside and asked me to spray insect repellent on them. I went out on the back porch and sprayed them all down. After I was done with all four kids, I went in to put the bottle back on the shelf…and realized that the insect repellent was still on the shelf! So, what did I just spray them with then?? Our household cleaner! My 4-year-old had run inside, grabbed it off the counter thinking it was the insect repellent, and I didn’t think to double check.
Instead of freaking out and scrubbing them down with soap and water, I was able to laugh about it because I know that our household cleaner is safe. By using a non-toxic household cleaner, I can rest well in the fact that if it gets on our skin, or even in our mouth, there isn’t anything to worry about.
Why Use This Non-Toxic All-Purpose Cleaner
The number one reason my family made the switch to using this non-toxic all-purpose cleaner is to reduce toxins in our home. Reducing toxins in as many areas as possible helps lower the toxic burden on your body. When your body isn’t working as hard to get rid of toxins, it can function more efficiently and effectively…the way it was made to. For the short term, this means a better immune system, less sickness, less headaches, less hormonal ups and downs, etc. For the long term, there are less risks for cancer. The sooner you ditch toxic products the better.
It is also amazing to have a cleaner that is all-purpose. You can grab just one spray bottle plus something to scrub with, and you are good to go! No more running back and forth to your cleaning supply closet or lugging around a heavy basket with cleaning supplies.
I love that it is safe to hand the spray bottle over to my kids and allow them to help out with cleaning around the house. There is no need to lock it away. If a child gets into it, just use soap and water to wash it off. If they ingest it, make sure they drink lots of water. That’s it. No need to call poison control.
This non-toxic all-purpose cleaner is also extremely cost effective! You start by grabbing the Thieves Household Cleaner concentrate. Mix the concentrate with water in a spray bottle to create your cleaner. It only takes a small amount of the concentrate each time you refill the spray bottle, and you can make roughly 42 spray bottles with a bottle of the Thieves Household Cleaner concentrate. That means each bottle of this non-toxic all-purpose cleaner costs you less than $1.50!
How to Make this Non-Toxic All-Purpose Cleaner
You will be shocked and so excited by how simple it is to make your very own bottle of this non-toxic all-purpose cleaner. You only need a few ingredients plus a glass spray bottle, and you are all set.
Once you have your glass spray bottle, open your Thieves Household Cleaner and fill the cap of it. Pour the capful into the glass spray bottle.
Now it’s time to add 10 drops of the Lemon essential oil. While you can leave this out and your cleaner still works great, I do like to always add it into mine because it boosts the power for getting sticky and greasy things off. Because I am a mom of four, I feel like my cleaner needs this boost. I also love the fresh smell of lemons. If you don’t feel like you need the Lemon essential oil, you can add any other essential oils to create a custom smell for your cleaner, or just use it as it comes.
The final step is to fill the spray bottle the rest of the way with water, about 15 oz. I typically fill it straight from the kitchen sink, but if you are concerned with the safety of your tap water, distilled water is another great option.
Twist the spray nozzle back on, give it a shake, and you are now ready to clean every surface in your home! No worries about safety, toxic chemicals, or getting massive headaches while cleaning.

How to Use this Non-Toxic All-Purpose Cleaner
Once you fill your spray bottle with the Thieves Household Cleaner and water, you are ready to clean every surface in your home. I love that the bottle is cute enough to leave out on the counter at all times because it makes it easier for grab and go cleaning. You can grab a FREE label for your non-toxic all-purpose cleaner (to make it cuter and to make sure you don’t spray your kids down with it, lol) by adding your email below.
Now, you are ready to grab your cleaner and your favorite scrubbing tool and get busy cleaning, with no worries about chemicals or headaches. I prefer to clean our counters and table with a dish cloth in place of paper towels. They last way longer and eliminate a lot of waste. For sinks and tubs, I use a scrubby sponge.
If you ever feel like you need extra scrubbing power on a particular surface, sprinkle a little baking soda before spraying the cleaner on top. The baking soda gives it a gritty texture that helps scrub dirt and grime off that needs a little extra help.
