Improve the look and feel of your skin with the best face serum for glowing skin! It is all natural, super simple to make and smells amazing.
I went through four pregnancies back to back. Four kids in six years. The up and down hormone changes messed with my skin like crazy! I was breaking out more than ever before, suffering from very dry skin, and the healthy glow of my pre-pregnancy skin was gone.
I bought a starter bundle of essential oils and began to try them out for everything.
After doing some research, I found a recipe to create something called a glow serum for healthy and glowing skin, and immediately knew that I had to give it a try! After about one week of consistently using it, my skin felt so much smoother and softer. I continued to use it every day and fell in love with my skin again. It added the moisture back in and helped to clear up and tone all of the redness and irritation. I finally felt comfortable leaving the house again without putting on any makeup!
Four years later and I still use it every day on my face. I cannot wait for you to give it a try and see the awesome results.
I love to use roller bottles to apply essential oils. Instead of grabbing each individual oil and putting drops in your hand, you can make a roller bottle that will last for weeks. Roll it on the desired area and rub it in, and voila! You only need to have all of the necessary essential oils out when you are refilling it. Roller bottles make the process more simple, and that is what I am all about!
How to Make the Best Face Serum for Glowing Skin
To make this face serum to get healthy, glowing skin, grab an empty roller bottle. For my personal use, I like to buy fancy, prettier roller bottles instead of a large pack of plain ones.
Open the roller bottle and set it on a flat surface. Grab the essential oils you plan to use and add the drops directly into the roller bottle. When making a roller bottle for an adult, I typically do 25-35 drops total of essential oils. Notice how small an amount of essential oils you actually used! With essential oils, a little goes a long way. And since this roller bottle will last you 4-6 weeks, it is a very cost effective serum to make.
After the essential oils are added, fill the roller bottle the rest of the way with a carrier oil. A carrier oil dilutes the essential oils so they do not irritate the skin, especially on more sensitive skin.
I use jojoba oil as the carrier oil for this face serum. It is the perfect consistency and adds more moisturizing power to the serum. It also absorbs really well into your skin because of its similarity to the natural oils of your skin.
Once the roller bottle is filled, add the roller ball top and lid, shake to mix, and you are ready to apply!

Best Face Serum for Glowing Skin Instructions:
- Open an empty roller bottle and stand it up on a flat surface.
- Add each essential oil into the roller bottle with the specified number of drops.
- Fill the rest of the way with jojoba oil.
- Add your roller ball top and lid, shake to mix, and you are ready to apply!
- Apply on a freshly cleaned face and then top with moisturizer.
Recipe Variations:
- Blue Tansy is listed as optional because it is a more expensive essential oil. You can make this face serum and leave it out. Your skin will still look and feel amazing. Blue Tansy just gives it an extra boost with more healthy skin support, plus it gives it a beautiful blue color. Make sure if you do end up adding it, to go very light on the drops. It can give your skin a bluish tint if there is too much.
- Lemon oil is a fantastic addition to this face serum if you are looking to even out your overall skin tone. If you do add lemon, make sure to only apply the face serum at night because citrus oils make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.
- Another option is to make a separate morning and night time face serum. This would allow you to use the face serum with Lemon oil in it at night, and the face serum without Lemon oil in the morning.
- If you would like to make a larger quantity or prefer a different way to apply, you can also make this face serum in a dropper bottle. I would suggest bumping up the total number of drops of essential oils used based on the size dropper bottle you buy.
How to Use:
Wash your face and pat it to dry. Shake your roller bottle to mix the oils together each time, and then roll it all over your face. Gently rub it in all over. If you are using a dropper bottle instead, squeeze the dropper with the face serum into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, and then rub it gently on your face to apply. Top with your moisturizer.
This can be applied after washing your face both in the morning and at night.
